Hello,

I have a similar problem...
I use an "old" (2 weeks) mplayer/mencoder and try to re-encode an
interlaced avi (divx 3).
First everything seemed to be OK, but after some minutes I recognised that
the sound suffered some delay. And it is increasing... (linearly)
"-oac copy -ovc copy " works fine, but then "-vop pp=0x20000" doens't
work. Where can I find docs about "-vop pp=" ? vop.txt says "-vop
pp=help", but it doesn't work.

I tried 1 and 3 pass encoding with libavcodec and copy/re-encode audio
too, but the same (wrong) result.

And there was the same problem with recording from my PCTV Pro card.
After 3 hours there was approximately 10 seconds delay in sound.
I think my machine is fast enough (duron 1300) to record a 384x288 movie.
At least there was only a minor load when I tried to capture...

I used the soundcard (SB Live!) to record sound, beacuse I can't get work
btaudio module (does anybody?). My kernel is 2.4.20, RTC enabled, no
strange (RedHat,Suse etc.) patches.

I think I've RTFM carefully enough (or maybe not?), but I can't find out
the source of my problem...

Best regards,
