[MPlayer-users] MPlayer format error

Hi

I installed cvs mplayer on my IBM thinkpad, but when I tryied to play a 
DVD movie I got the following error:

"sorry, this file format is not recognized/supported.  If this file is 
an AVI, ASF or MPEG stream, please contact the author."

The DVD format on the disk is VOB.  I am running Linux Redhat 8.  If 
anyone knows how I can solve this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.
