[MPlayer-users] Fail to recognize MP3 bitrate of "pb2_dd_copied.avi" uploaded file

Hi,

I uploaded this file to the incoming dir. since 0.90-pre10 Mplayer can't figure out the right bitrate for the audio stream. If I force off the ffmpeg codec, into something like
-ac mad (libmad) then it plays fine, or any of the win32 compliant codecs.

Thought someone might wanna look at why this is happening. I tried "forcing" the bitrate and other infos of the audio stream (with transcode's avifix), but to no avail...

What suprisingly (to me) worked was loading up the file in an AVI processing tool which allows stream delay (Avidemux,Virtuadub) and shifting the audio stream back by 1ms and then forward again by 1ms (so as to have it back in "original sync"). Note that 1ms or 10ms wouldn't matter as I undo the delay I did the first time. Weird eh? If u can explain it to me I'd listen

thanks
