This is what is wrong: what he was explaining is, you don't _ever_
reply to _somebody_, you always reply to some _message_. This is
how mail works, like it or not.
So even if you change the subject, since the header with the 
original mail ID is still there, your reply will end up with
the original thread, which your reply has nothing to do with ...
