[MPlayer-users] error trying to play a DVD

Hi,
I am trying to play a zone2 DVD on a HP Pavillon N5340 laptop whose DVD 
drive
is set to zone1.
MPlayer 0.90pre10 claims is able to decrypt it and starts playing it but 
the playback
is horrible [basically a bunch of random colored squares] and I keep 
getting the
following error:

@@@ libmpeg2 returned from sig11... (bad file?) @@@

Of course the same PC has no problem playing zone1 DVDs with the same
mplayer version.

Is there anything I can do to fix this problem without changing the DVD 
drive
zone?
