[MPlayer-users] error during make: ad_faad.c: too few arguments...

In attempting to build mplayer-0.90rc1 with faad audio support, I have run 
across an error (see below).

The released versions of faad2 (faad is deprecated since faad2) are known to 
be broken in linux., (per the developer, menno) so I used the cvs version.

That version built, installed, and mplayer's ./configure found it without 
using the --enable-faad option.

However, when building mplayer I got this error:

What is going on here?  What should I do to correct the problem?
