[MPlayer-users] problems with FB

Hi,
I am trying to make the mplayer working through the FB in two PCs of a 
friend with a G200 and an Ati Rage128.
As video output driver I'm using fbdev:vidix and of course I'm using the 
-fs flag to scale the movie to full screen.
Here is the problem:
   1. with the G200 the movie is shown without a glitch but above and 
below the screen becomes red :-(
   2. with the Rage128 the movie is shown in black&white only!
This happen both using the generic VESA FB or the appropriate one for 
the card.
Is this a known bug or it is just me that is unlucky?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
