why? it was ok, so applied to cvs. next time please send patches to
-dev-eng, they usually lost here.
actually the author/maintainer of vesa and vidix left us months ago so that
code is unmaintained and no one is interested to catch up :(

Known. Several other users already reported similar problems with ati
radeon 8500 cards. unfortunately no one of the developers has such card,
so we can't even try to fix it.
you should try the vidix drivers from the MPlayerXP fork, it may work
better.
