no

it's just the same if you append 2 different file formats to one and try to
play

anyway if you force mpeg-ps demuxer it should skip the first mpeg-es stream

now mplayer finds the first mpeg (probably some sample/demo/logo animation
on teh disc) and plays it then it finds garbage (something the mpeg es
demuxer can't understand - actually the movie in ps format).
