you can swap head1 and head2, so get unscaled unaccelerated image (like X)
on head 1 and BES on head 2 (TV). see TVout/independ script.

yes.

g450 and g550 is the same as g400, just different memory setup (half wide
bus and ddr ram instead of sd/sg). programming teh 2D part is the same,
no difference. but the g450/g550 doesn't have maven tv-out chip, it has
something worse, the matroxfb author compared it to soft-modems. no linux
support for that.
