Hi,
I've just commited some code to CVS, to auto-detect bad interleaving of .avi
files and switch to -ni mode.
As detection of bad interleaving is not possible before the playback (for
some files it's only visible after many minutes) it starts with interleaved
mode, and if it is close to buffer overflow, it switch to -ni immediately to
avoid it.
Note, that -ni mode doesn't work with non-seekable input (network or
stdin/fifo) and makes -cache useless or sometimes ever slower than wihtout
it.
If you has such broken file (starts interleaved but after some time it
turned out that it's not really well interleaved causing audio lost) test it
and report the results
