[MPlayer-users] Mencoder problem

Sorry, I forgot to include the output: 

I am trying to reduce the size of an AVI file using the following command: 

mencoder file.avi -x 120 -y 90 -o smaller-file.avi 

The input file is encoded at 480x360. Now when I run the above command, no 
matter what I set the size to, it doesn't change the size of the file. 

Am I missing something here?

No matter what I set the size to, it creates a file 558180416 bytes.
