[MPlayer-users] Large AVI file

I have looked into the manual for an answer to this, but my search did not
come up with any answers:

I am using the latest xawtv package to record a large file ( using streamer,
with .avi output, jpeg format and approx. 4.9Gbyte in size ). Sadly enough,
mplayer only plays around 40% of the file before quitting, which is just
before the part of the program I really wanted to see.

According to the author of xawtv, they are using the OpenDML method to
write files larger than 2Gbyte, but this does not seem to be understood by
the mplayers codecs. I have tried various mjpeg codecs with exactly the same
result.

my version of mplayer is from CVS, snapshot. CVS-020418-12:00-3.0.4

Needless to say any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW. mplayer is almost perfect after crop & pan was implemented :)

Thanks,
Hans E.
