[Mplayer-users] split files

Ive got a few divX's that are rather large in size, around the 1.2G
mark...so i found this http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/  ,downloaded the
linux version and it worked like a charm...

$ ./lxsplit -s /ntfs/temp/Frequency.avi 670M 
Splitting Frequency.avi into 2 pieces.
Frequency.avi.001                       702545920 bytes
Frequency.avi.002                       492945168 bytes

mplayer was able to play 001, but failed to play 002, sure i could put
the files back together...but it would be bloody handy if mplayer could
read a split-file :)
