  I have Celeron 733MHz + ATI 128, I use Mandrake 8.0 (kernel 2.4.3, xfree 4.03)

  When I play divX video (highres) with fbdev, I can use only quality 0 otherwise I will get FRAMEDROP. But when playing with xv I get framedrop everytime. I 
believe this is problem of xwindows (or ATI), because before I used old version of mplayer with mandrake 7.2 with 2.2.18 kernel and 3.3.3 xfree (I think) and 
everything worked well (of course without xv extension so only in window). 4.?? versions of xfree must be much slower IMHO.
