MPlayer has been working for me very well for a long time.
It is reaaly an impressive implementation.

The only problem I have is that
I use the ati2 driver from gatos. However,
if I lower the resolution the image is very
compressed in Y direction. It just works
perfectly at the maximum resolution (on my
Dell laptop is 1400x1050).

On the other hand, if I do not use the XV extension,
I get any resolution and I can send the image for a TV.
Of course I loose speed, even using MTRR.

Does anyone got a solution or have fixed the ati2 driver?
I am using Redhat 7.2 (XFree86 4.1.0-3).
My laptop is just 600 Mz, and it takes too long
for compiling the whole XFree code.

Thank you for any feedback.
