Actually, this is what happened. I was going to copy the options below
from the manpage and didn't see that there was an 'and' between the two
command line switches.

DOCS/mplayer.1:used in combination with -nosound and -vo null for benchmarking.

You see, reading TFM *generates* bugreports:-)
