[MPlayer-users] -monitoraspect not working?

Hi,

I see that the aspect issue is being worked on, but from reading
the docs, I have assumed that I could set the aspect manually. I
have a 1280x1024 resolution, and when playing a 16:9 DVD (detected
correctly), the video is too high (by the amount of my
non-4:3 resolution aspect, I guess).

Setting -monitoraspect should take care of that I guess, but it doesn't
have any effect in both Mplayer-0.50 and CVS from yesterday (same debug
output as if not setting -monitoraspect at all).

And out of interest, is MPlayer looking at the following line in
XF86Config at all?:

| # the physical display size in mm:
| DisplaySize 367 276

Here is the output:

morphin:~$ mplayer -dvd 1
