ffdivx is IMHO always faster, much faster than -vc divx4 and quite a bit 
faster then -vo odivx, although now ffdivx support Michaels great new 
postprocessing code, try it with -autoq 6 or -pp 119 (no brightness-fix) or 
-pp 127 (with brightness-fix), for even faster deblocking variant try -pp 
0x1103. Bad thing about ffdivx is, that the bug were you seen a horizontal 
line pattern in some scenes is still not fixed (and maybe other bugs, but 
divx4 still has bugs, too).
