[MPlayer-users] mplayer with esd bitrate

hi out there,
i fixed the "some-videso-are-double-speed" by using sdl instead of oss for 
sound output. but now occurs another thing, its that sound quality is 
definety worse with esd than with oss or dsp. it seems too that mplayer tries 
to start another esd when called with the ao=sdl:esd commandline, so that a 
esd formely set to a higher bitrate (which is necessary with my 
onboard-ac97-48000 bits) has no effect.
anybody knows how to tell mplayer tu use sdl with esd and a better sound 
quality (i.e. higher bitrate)?
