Hallo.
I'm playing with mencoder right now, and everything is as fine as it can
be in such early development stages.
But: If I specify the "deinterlace"-option for the divx4 codec, mencoder
just dies with "Segmentation fault".
My question is: Is this a know bug, or am I the only one facing this
problem?
mencoder was compiled on a Debian unstable with gcc3.0.2 (gcc2.95.4 = same
result).
The output is:
oweh at skuld:~/tmp$ mencoder gb.avi -ovc divx4 -oac mp3lame -pass 1 -o gbnews.avi -divx4opts br=1600:deinterlace

The same happens, if I just specify "deinterlace" w/o any other options.
