Hi!

I just downloaded the last mplayer from cvs and I installed it. I've go
a problem with the sound: I cannot hear it... :-(

With mplayer 0.18 everything worked fine and I cannot understand why it
doesn't work.

My software/hardware is:

Debian potato 2.2r4
kernel 2.2.20
libc: 2.1.3
audio card: sound blaster 64 gold
driver: from kernel

Here's the output of mplayer:

With mplayer-0.18 I heard the sound.

What can I do?

Another thing: I would change a bit the rules for building the debian
package. As it is now, it cannot be installed on a potato. The problem
is related with libconfhelper-perl. It isn't aviable for potato. For
allowing to build it on this distribution I have removed the relative
entry in the control file and I've deleted the postinst script.

Ok, so it doesn't configure it, but it works. I would at least add a
README.potato file explaining how to install it on a potato :-)

Bye
