[MPlayer-users] DVD + -autoq in 0.50

Hi,

I've been lurking here for a while now (and enjoying the general sillyness
of this list) and recently, i had the incentive to go "all the way" and
get dcss + dvdread + mplayer working .. to watch a dvd-movie i had rented
(it turned out that it's an encrypted disk, something which i was able to
avoid, so far ;)

Now, it plays fine with "-dvd 1", no probs there, but "-autoq 100" for
example produces problems once in a while. It produces the effect that at
times you get to see the image "flicker", with a picture of a few frames
back flashing.

So, for example... :
guy climbs up the mountain... puts his hand on a rock and straightens up..
and suddenly *flash* and you see one or two frames of where he just put
his hands on a rock again.... and the movie continues like nothing
happened.
(this is as close as i can get to describing the visuals ;)

Nominal CPU usage is about 45% on my pIII 700 laptop with a Ati Rage
Mobility chipset (using Gatos drivers), so it doesnt seem to be anything
directly related to "lack of CPU speed". Nor does video-bandwidth seem to
be the problem either, with the fact that it plays fine without -autoq.

Now, i know that i should have tried the cvs version first before whining
here..., so if this is a "known issue" and is fixed in CVS, please go
ahead and throw that digital molotov cocktail into my mailbox ;) (or was
it an email with an X-powder:anthrax header?.. ah well)

Any ideas ?
