Hi, i have tried this before:>
> > I get dga, xv,x11,gl,odivx,pgm and md5 but no 3dfx.
> ./configure --enable-3dfx

/CVS-MP/main > ./configure --enable-x11 --enable-xv --enable-3dfx
--enable-dga

You can get detailed help on configure with: ./configure --help
Please wait while ./configure discovers your software and hardware
environment

Creating config.mak
Creating config.h
Creating libvo/config.mak
Creating libac3/config.mak
Creating mp3lib/config.mak

No mention about 3dfx here...

And after make dep;make:
 ./mplayer -vo 3dfx mpg/test.mpg
Invalid video output driver name: 3dfx

I have Voodoo banshee on PCI bus, kernel 2.4.1, Xfree 4.0.2 plain

To config.h i have to make following correction:
#undef HAVE_AUDIO_SELECT
(I have aureal au8820 based card)

And btw during mpeg play i get this
mp3lib: Processor ID: 619
mp3lib: i586 processor detected.

And in configure optimizations are made for i686, which one is right?

Hopefully this mail is sane enough...
