[Mplayer-users] X11 via network?

Hej,

is it possible to include some kind of _pure_ X11-support without 
extensions? I'd like to try viewing over (fast) network connection 
from Linux to SUN Solaris and it gives these errors:

- with X11 the output window appears and disappears right away.
- with SDL the output window (without contents) comes up for a second  (Start 
playing...), but then the programm fails.
