Try compiling -mcpu=i686 for the k6-2 and compare the results with -march=k6.

MTRR does help.

k6-2/500 + p5a + g450 is just about sufficient for watching dvds with xine.
some framedropping (0-40 frames pr. 200), but audio is perfect so it isn't
too annoying.
