[Mplayer-users] Audio Problems - Buffer

i play an avi file and after 43.8 seconds the video
goes in a kind of slow motion. It has something to do
with the audio because if i play the file without
sound, the video works very well. My CPU is not the
best, but runing "top" gives me a CPU usage of only
45%. so i suppose it has to do with the sound/audio.
specially if i look at the audio-video sync. it goes
out of snych like crazy, just from the begining, and
after the 43.8 seconds a strange end-of-buffer error
occurs sending the video in slow motion (sound and
video are working prefectly till this point) and i
have no sound at all.

i tried to play with -ao but the same problem occured
with alsa5 and SDL. the audio seems to run too fast.
so i thought maybe the audio was sampled at 48KHz, but
using the -srate 48000 didn't change anything.
this video has an intro of 10 seconds. may it be that
this intro (which probably was only joined to the rest
of the movie) has another audio/video sample rate than
the rest of the movie and this is confusing the
player?
This had this error message:
------------
DEMUXER: Too many (xxxxx in yyyyyyy bytes) video
packets in the buffer!
-----------
already in other movies (xxxxx and yyyyyyy some
numbers.
did anyone have the same experience? what can i change
to stop this audio/video synch problem?
