Thanks Felix. However I got the regexp to get colors for that kind of stuff too.
set quote_regexp="^ *[a-zA-Z=]*[>]" # regexp to catch quoted text
Now I get colors even with Felix>. u can even continue if u want. Fellow mutt
users can use the above settigns in muttrc for this.
