[Mplayer-users] SDL:aalib

First, thanks to the developers for a great app. Got it working no probs on RH 7.1 (using kgcc as compiler).

The only thing that doesn't seem to work is SDL:aalib mode. X11 and DGA work fine, but when I try aalib I get:

VO: [sdl] 640x480 => 640x480 Packed YUY2 
VO: Description: SDL YUV/RGB/BGR renderer (SDL v1.1.7+ only!)
SDL: Initializing of SDL failed: No available video device.
FATAL: Cannot initialize video driver!

Is there anything obvious I'm missing?
Help would be much appreciated...
