[MPlayer-users] MEncoder doesn't generate audio?

As far I can see I'havent done anything wron when building the latest 
0.60 pre1 but the reason why i've changet to 0.6 was that 0.5 didn't 
prduce any audio when encoding from DVD or MPEG2.
The AVI was only video but no audio.

I get lot's of errors while encoding:
head_check failed A-V: -1.566 oAV: -1.488 diff: -0.005 ct: -0.034 vpc: 
-0.074

when starting this way....

mencoder -dvd 1 -ovc divx4 -oac mp3lame -o test-dvd.avi
lame is installed:
lame --version
LAME version 3.89 (beta 1, Dec 15 2001) (http://www.mp3dev.org/)

any ideas why this could happen?
