problem lies here ^^^

i've just got an i850 based MB, and i got 57khz instead of 48khz with
integrated intel ICH2 audio. fortunatelly i have an sblive, so i don't care
about integrated shit.

i also tried alsa, it doesn't support ICH2 :(

you should ask driver developer to fix this issue.
or try oss/commercial, may help

anyway, thank you for correct bugreport!
others should learn from this.

hmm. i didn't tried sdl, may help, but i think it won't.
it's simply driver bug.
