gcc: 2.9.5.4 debian prelease
GNU ld version 2.11.92.0.5 20011005
GNU assembler 2.11.92.0.5
cpu : celeron 366 at 466
noname rivatnt2 32mb, driver version: 1.0-1541
sound card: aureal superquad, driver: from mplayer faq, 1.1.3

I've this mplayer version :
MPlayer CVS-011124-06:00(C) 2000-2001 Arpad Gereoffy (see DOCS!)
CPU vendor name: GenuineIntel max cpuid level: 2
CPU: Intel Celeron A Mendocino/Pentium II Dixon
CPUflags: Type: 6 MMX: 1 MMX2: 0 3DNow: 0 3DNow2: 0 SSE: 0 SSE2: 0
Reading /home/kukocs/.mplayer/codecs.conf: 16 audio & 36 video codecs

did I try the cvs bad time?? because with this version of mplayer i'm
unable to watch a file at all! /prob: mplayer interrupted by signal 11
in module:setup_audio // and only kill helps!

The strange thing is mplayer 0.5 plays the file very well:

Detected AVI file format!
