though i will not recommend it to you - it's not russian but bulgarian. letters
like yeri and e oborotnoe are not in the font (or at least not in the .desc).
if you have the gimp, you can use my gimp plugin:

ftp://mplayer.dev.hu/MPlayer/incoming/subfont-gimp-0.3.tar.bz2

and roll out your own font.
