[Mplayer-users] RedHat 7.1 and nVidia cards

Hi,
I downloaded and installed redhat 7.1 last week. A word of warning. There is
no hardware acceleration on the nVidia drivers that come with the
distribution. Also the nVidia drivers at nVidia.com for RH7.1 don't work.
I'm not sure why, and am still investigating.

While playing a mpeg on my athalon 1.1 GHz the results were:

RH7.0 mplayer/X not on tops list
RH7.1 mplayer 8% of CPU, X 10% of CPU.

X doesn't go below 7% at any time.

Just thought I'd give everyone a heads up.
