[Mplayer-users] a proposal for a user interface

I am hereby offering my services for a user interface in Tcl/Tk, using an 
embedded mplayer window.
All I would need to come up with a working prototype would be a command mode 
in mplayer through standard input, using a simple protocol.

For example:

sending:
>start
would return:
<ok

>pause
<ok
>stop
<ok
>totaltime
<01:52:17
>time
<12:18:10
>forwardto 01:02:03
<ok
>forwardby 10:10

you get the meaning...

A more sophisticated solution would be a mplayer C API, of course, but the 
above should work fairly well.
