I think you used the wrong version of mga_vid.
I wrote the changes in MPlayer and mga_vid in parallel,
ie, if you use svn head (since r265) it should just work.

BTW: due to lack of time, i didn't check yet whether
mga_vid still works with 2.6.26, but i haven't heard
anything contrary yet.
