Sorry I have to reply to my own email but I made a little mistake in the 
last command line.

This is supposed to be:
mplayer -ao mpegpes -vo mpegpes -vop \ 
lavc=9000,expand=-1:-1:-1:-1:0,scale=720:0,dvbscale=1843
