Sorry to breake the [ thread ].
I was thinking about this to :)
But after a test and reading in man page
i notice that mplayer try to use a sub file with
the same name but with .sub as suffix.
It was a .srt file but it didn't do it (dhooo).
but when renaming it to .sub it was happylie loadded
and recognize as a srt sub file :)
one more thing!
if expand with -vop is used
the switch -subpos is good if one whold like to se it.
IMHO that is what the scrit must fill in.
if expanding X do set -subpos Y.
