[Mplayer-dvb] Slow performance on still scenes ?

Hi,

i don't know how to describe it:
I'm using todays cvs of mplayer and libavcodec. 
When watching divx content over DVBs (-vo mpegpes) on some scenes, that 
mainly contain still, high contrast, scenes the framrate seems to drop and 
the sound begins to stutter ! 
However CPU ist used around 30% (at least top says that) on my Athlon XP1800+

When using -vop fame this does not occur !

But with -vop lavc the picture quality is much better !

Any idea ?
I have tried several AVIs and it's all the same - only scenes with no or very 
low motion and high contrast (black white or Snow and sky and stuff) - also 
it seems to happen with high detailed scenes ...
