...it's working fine now.

Btw, when I play e.g. a 320x240 video through the DVB card, it sticks in 
the upper left corner and only uses 1/4 of the screen. scale=720:576 does 
the trick, but I wonder if it's supposed to be that way as with the old 
version MPlayer always used the full screen. -fs doesn't seem to do anything.

I've read the docs and man pages, but I haven't found much on this. :-(
