Hi,

using todays snap from mplayer and ffmpeg, a Celeron900 and DVB-s, a
status report:

Target is to view a DivX encoded avi on the TV screen.

Two ways tried:

1) Direct conversion Divx->DVB
mplayer -vfm 5 -vo mpegpes -ao mpegpes -framedrop file.avi
-> Choppy video, Sound stutters!
-> Unusable

2) Offline conversion
a) creation of mplayer-convert using configure --disable-dvb
b) mplayer-convert -vc ffdivx -y 576 -vo mpegpes -ao mpegpes
