I don't know. I have googled a bit, and had a look at doom9 forum, I
found this post: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?
p=381369#post381369 which is from someone who is supposed to be quite
reliable given the quality of this remarks in both doom9 and FFmpeg ML.
I haven't found information on mp4box or mp4creator as to whether or
not they support "composition matrix".

If you manage to find a way to set "composition matrix" with one of
the 2 mp4 muxing tools, then I'd happily drop the section about
upscaling, otherwise, I'd put a note that says that it's workaround
needed until the above mentioned tools support QuickTime aspect ratio.
