install.xml, software requirements mentions bio2jack, and
--with-bio2jack=DIR option to ./configure, but:
grep bio2jack configure gives nothing. Should it be --with-extralibdir
instead?

Paragraph that ends at line 465: the "example' here suggests (to me)
that example will present fc-list usage. It doesn't.

section about bitmap fonts, final sentence mentions than one possibility
of using UTF-8 is to name your file
<filename>&lt;video_name&gt;.utf</filename>
(quoting xml). I'm not sure about &lt;/&gt;, though it's accustomed to
use it in this place, but <replaceable> should definitely be there.
Question is should it be 
<filename><replaceable>&lt;video_name&gt;</replaceable>.utf</filename>
or
<filename><replaceable>video_name</replaceable>.utf</filename>
(i.e. with or without <> around name)
