BTW, I followed your advice and subscribed to MEncoder-user ML, which
allowed me to hear about lavc's "nr" (noise reduction) encoding
option, and its sane range, thanks to the tests made by RC. Given that
it have a great impact PSNR-wise, and doesn't cost much, I guess it's
one of those options that we should advise to use.
I'll update the man page ASAP, and the XML docs when I have more time.
