<a name="intro"><h2>Intro</h2></a>
This library was designed for providing direct hardware access under different
operating systems and architectures, so it is platform- and os-independent.

It originates from MPlayer's sub-project VIDIX, but later has been forked,
developed independently, and now rewritten and merged the forks.

<p>

<a name="supported"><h2>Supported systems</h></a>
For the full list of supported OS'es read the sources, anyway here is a 'reporte
as working' list (these platforms are used daily):
<ul>
<li>Linux 2.2.x/2.4.x/2.6.x on x86/ppc</li>
<li>FreeBSD on x86</li>
<li>NetBSD on x86</li>
<li>Windows NT/2000/XP on x86</li>
</ul>

<p>

<a name="download"><h2>Download</h2></a>

<pre>
cvs -z3 -d :pserver at anonymous@mplayerhq.hu:/cvsroot/uha checkout uha

Alternatively, you can use
