My own understanding of it is still a little shaky, but as best I know,
"10l" is an abbreviation for "10 liters" - a rough assessment of the
amount of cola the person needed to consume to be alert enough to avoid
making whatever mistake is at hand. The scale starts at 10 and goes up,
apparently; I've seen as high as 10000l sometimes, and more in cases of
exaggeration.
