This only works under X11 with -vc ffmpeg12mc, so I guess it should be
(solo X11, \-vc ffmpeg12mc).

The \& is superfluous here.  It's only used to tell roff that the
period is not the end of a sentence with e.g.\&, i.e.\& etc.
