read the question again: "what has changed now?" !
i agree with all 1-3, but they are still the same, since ages.
if the pages didnt offend anyone (because they didnt read, didnt understand,
didnt care) they won't care in future too, so why to remove these pages?

btw, as a side-note: this removal generated a lot more attention to
these pages (many ppl read them now, thanks to the big flame :)) than
it would have if you left them alone... did you really want this? :)
you know: negative advertisement is advertisement too.
