Hmm, since the news page is not completely translated, I don't think you
should mark it as synced.  Maybe just add a comment that translation is
still partial, then you can bump the sync tag to keep track of which of the
latest commits are translated.

Anyway, before you tackle the news page (or even the news archives) finish
the rest of the homepage first.  Nice to see this finally coming along.
