[MPlayer-dev-eng] [PATCH] Remove XvMC support

Alexander Strasser eclipse7 at gmx.net
Tue Apr 23 00:30:29 EEST 2024

The functionality was removed from FFmpeg for years.

With the recent FFmpeg 7 release it was completely removed from
FFmpeg, so --enable-xvmc in MPlayer now results in build errors.

This removal was discussed with Ivan who developed and
XvMC support and maintained it for the last two decades.
---

Please test (e.g. test the build on your setup) if you can.

Comments and review welcome as always :)

I intend to commit this weekend on Saturday or Sunday if
there are no problems with the patch.
